Wylands Angling Centre Rules & Regulations
In the interest of consideration towards fellow anglers and the conversation of our precious wildlife habitat, all visitors are respectfully asked to observe the following regulations whilst at Wylands:
No fishing without a national fishing licence
No fish to be removed from the centre
No barbed hooks
No keepnets (except in booked matches)
No nuts or excessive use of any groundbait
No fish to be lifted above knee height
No fish to be kept in carp sacks
No noise or running about on the banks
No unattended fishing gear to be left in swims
No rubbish to be left in the swims when you leave
No discarded line or litter
No dogs unless kept on a lead at all times
No cars left in other than official areas
No weapons of any sort
No picking of wildflowers or removal of plants
No dirt track riding on motor or other cycles
No speed in excess of 5mph on farm tracks
No swimming
No radios
No model boats
No open fires
No barbeques without prior permission
No climbing over farm fences and gates
No trespassing in farm buildings
All dogs must be kept on leads
Always use unhooking mats, dip your nets and weigh slings in tubs provided
Bait Bans
NUTS, PEAS, BEANS, BLOOD WORM, JOKER, TROUT OR POND PELLETS, FISHMEAL-BASED GROUNDBAIT, TROUT PELLET-BASED GROUNDBAIT, FISHMEAL-BASED BOILIES.
Swim Stim Koi Pellets and Groundbait are allowed.
National Rod Licences
Please note it is an offence contrary to Article 3 of the Sea Fish Licensing Order 1992 for anyone over the age of 12 to fish for salmon, trout, freshwater fish or eels in England, Wales or the Border Esk Region in Scotland without a valid licence.
National rod licences are available to purchase from Wyland International Angling Centre. Please ask at Reception when you visit. Alternatively you can purchase a licence online at the Environment Agency.
