I would like to add my support
for the upgrading of Wylands
facilities which are essential
if it is to continue as a
premier fishery.

There are absolutly NO
PLANNING grounds for refusing
this application. These
facillities are needed now both
for the benefit of visitors to
Wylands, myself and wife
included and to improve the Tourism
product generally for the
Rother District.

Wylands is a top class venue
only made possible by the staffs
dedication and hard work. Its a
shame that the council is allowing
it to run without of date
facilities. It's obvious that the
Wylands needs the improvements,
so why isn't the council supporting
it by allowing the applications to
go through? Isn't it the councils
job to update and support local
business ventures by bringing them
up to the modern day standards?? My
partner and I really enjoy night
fishing so it is very
important to be able to have the
basic sanitary requirements on site
and adequate hot and cold food
facilities. These issues should
be addressed as it will only
bring in much need income and
tourism to the local area, an
issue that should be high on any
councils objectives.

As this fishery is out of the way I
can't see as to how it would affect
anyone and could bring more jobs to
the area long term. |

Wyland fishery and campsite is a
well run venue in a wonderful
location used by many fishermen and
cadets from far and wide, including
Sussex Army Cadets, for overnight
stops whilst walking the 1066 trail.
As for application RR/2004/3587/P
this will be a vast improvement,
which will benefit all, including
the local economy in such a
historically important area. Private
enterprise should be encourage and
given help, not stifled by the few
in positions of influence. |

As a registered disabled person who
enjoys angling the proposal can only
improve the centre and make it more
accessible and user friendly. |

From a female angler's point of view
with grandchildren interested in
fishing the proposed changes can
only be beneficial to all concerned. |

All are very badly needed. |

Wylands is now falling behind other
fisheries. Wylands and surrounding
businesses will benefit from the
improvements. |

This really does need better
facilities. |

Good luck for the proposal! |

Deserves all the help needed to make

We need all of this new
buildings. |

These facilities are urgently
required by the fishermen now. |

Hello we are a day centre for adults
between 18-65 suffering from primary
mental health conditions. We often
have a fishing group to Wylands and
have 17 people who go at different
times. They are greeted and well
looked after by the friendly staff
at the lakes and find fishing very
therapeutic. We would like to
strengthen the needs for the new
facilities wanted at Wylands. Then
more minority groups such as the
disabled can use fishing to help
them relax and gain confidence in
their abilities an in their lives.
It's also great fun. |

Would be good for complex - more
toilets, better cafe, more new
buildings, sheds taken away for new
type more accommodation areas. |
Andrew Brandon, Mitcham |
|
More toilets, plus accommodation for
families and a bigger cafe with more
seating areas. |

An excellent fishery, beautifully
maintained lacking only the
facilities applied for on the above
application. |

I
wholly support your plans
Wylands! I urge 'Rother
District Council' to
reconsider their decision.
Although it's already
a wonderful venue , Wylands does
desperately need improved
facilities,
PLEASE let us have the
improvements and facilities,
that anglers
deserve.
look
again at the plans
and applications, Rother
District Council!!

Any improvements to an already
beautiful practical location could
only be a positive move. |

This development would enhance this
area, providing a better service to
this establishment and the customer. |

I support this motion 100% whole
heartedly |

Brilliant idea, bring it on! |

Wylands desperately need
improved facilities to support
their superb lakes. From an
environmental and visual
perspective, the proposed
chalets will mean the removal of
the existing touring caravans,
which are one of the worst
eyesores to be seen from the
surrounding hills. the chalets
themselves are pleasing to look
at and will be barely visible
from these surrounding areas.
The proposals for the various
new buildings will also improve
the look of the site and remove
the dilapidated buildings that
are at present a huge blot on
the landscape. As a neighbour
who has overlooked Wylands
for 49 years, these proposals
would result in a more pleasing
and environmentally friendly
site than I have seen in all
those years.

Wylands needs these
facilities for the families and
pleasure/match anglers who use
wylands all year.

Hello Wyland people, we
do pledge our support to
wylands, why, we have been
going to Wylands for
years, it would make a good
difference to have the place
upgraded, as we are getting
older, and even the younger
people could do with a warm
place to have a chat, tea coffee
etc. the place is already
lovely, just needs a bit more
improvement. good luck

The improvements that Wylands
have outlined would turn an already
great place to visit and fish into a
superb one. I fully endorse what
they are trying to do and if
successful could turn this venue
into a real family place and help to
bring more people to our wonderful
sport/pastime/hobby, etc, etc.

This will further improve a very
nice fishery. As an angling
coach, I fully support these
applications. |

Wylands
is a lovely place and the only thing
that spoils it is not having the
right facilities it deserves. |
