Superbly situated right in the heart of 1066 Country, Wylands is widely regarded as one of the UK’s best angling centres. We’re situated just two miles from the historic market town of Battle – made famous for the Battle of Hastings fought in 1066.
Wylands has 10 fantastic fishing lakes for the pleasure, specialist, match or angler, and juniors and beginners too. We’ve great facilities, plus friendly, expert advice – it’s not surprising we’re No. 1 with anglers.
For the angler coming to Wylands we provide specialist carp lakes, multi-specimen lakes, and a lake dedicated to juniors, plus the largest single match lake in the country!
Wylands lakes have spacious pegs, new swims, plus an improved match water, and with ongoing investment to make it even better. The development of Rosie’s Lake is now complete and is ideal for the disabled angler with its easy access.
Recently described as… “One of the best angling centres in England – if not in the whole of Europe,” Wylands has attracted many well known angling personalities since its opening in the late 1970s, including Andy Little and Keith Arthur; Bob Nudd who made his ‘Bagging up on the Pole’ video at Wylands and the star of the ‘Passion for Angling Series’, Chris Yates.
As well as offering sport for resident and day ticket anglers, Wyland International Angling Centre also holds the most prestigious of matches and corporate functions.
Wylands has hosted the National Police Championships, the European Police Championships and the Sainsbury’s National Angling Championships.
